Are you looking for ASi gateways with EtherNet/IP + ModbusTCP interface to connect AS-Interface (ASi) to an EtherNet/IP + ModbusTCP control system or Rockwell PLC? Then we recommend two items: BWU3822 (for 1 ASi circuit) and BWU3736 (for 2 ASi circuits).
Do you also need Safety? Then the “Bihl+Wiedemann’s Choice” articles BW3542 (for 1 ASi circuit) and BWU3543 (for 2 ASi circuits) are ideally suited. Both gateways have an integrated safety monitor and thus make it possible to solve safety functions completely without expensive higher-level safe control.
For standard applications: ASi EtherNet/IP + Modbus TCP Gateways without integrated Safety monitor
We recommend the “Bihl+Wiedemann’s Choice” articles BWU3822 and BWU3363 for almost all standard applications. Here you also benefit from our new power supply generation.
However, if you need more than 4A per ASi circuit, you can also use the ASi EtherNet/IP + ModbusTCP Gateways BWU3734 (for 1 ASi circuit) and BWU3735 (for 2 ASi circuits). Both articles do not have an integrated decoupling.
For Safety applications: ASi EtherNet/IP + ModbusTCP Gateways with integrated Safety monitor
We recommend the articles BWU3542 and BWU3543 for almost all Safety applications. Here you also benefit from our new power supply generation.
However, if you are dependent on CIP Safety communication – e.g. due to the use of safe Rockwell PLCs – you can alternatively use the ASi EtherNet/IP + ModbusTCP gateway BWU3683 (for 2 ASi circuits). The gateway offers integrated CIP safety communication for easy integration of the safe signals into the safe Rockwell PLC.
