Are you looking for ASi gateways with PROFINET interface to connect AS-Interface (ASi) to a PROFINET control system or Siemens PLC? Then we recommend two items from our “Bihl+Wiedemann’s Choice” range: BWU2919 (for 1 ASi circuit) and BWU3363 (for 2 ASi circuits).
Do you also need Safety? Then the “Bihl+Wiedemann`s Choice” articles BWU2798 and BWU2828 (for 2 ASi circuits) are ideally suited. Both gateways have an integrated safety monitor and thus make it possible to solve safety functions completely without expensive higher-level safe control.
For standard applications: ASi PROFINET Gateways without integrated Safety monitor
We recommend the “Bihl+Wiedemann’s Choice” articles BWU2919 and BWU3363 for almost all standard applications. Here you also benefit from our new power supply generation.
However, if you need more than 4A per ASi circuit, you can also use the ASi PROFINET Gateways BWU2729 (for 1 ASi circuit) and BWU3122 (for 2 ASi circuits). Both articles are not part of the “Bihl+Wiedemann’s Choice” assortment and also do not have an integrated decoupling.
For Safety applications: ASi PROFINET Gateways with integrated Safety monitor
We recommend the “Bihl+Wiedemann’s Choice” articles BWU2798 and BWU2828 for almost all Safety applications. Here you also benefit from our new power supply generation.
However, if you are dependent on a specific higher-level F-CPU – e.g. due to the use of safe Siemens drive systems – you can alternatively use the ASi PROFINET gateways BWU2794 (for 1 ASi circuit) and BWU3367 (for 2 ASi circuits). Both gateways offer an integrated PROFIsafe communication for easy integration of the safe signals into the F-CPU. Even if they are not part of the “Bihl+Wiedemann’s Choice” range, these devices are usually also in stock.
